Chiyome

Hiya. My pen name is Chiyome, and I'm 28 years old. I've been writing seriously and consecutively since I was 13 years old. I've been published twice nationally, won a scholarship for a short story about the Trail of Tears, was the editor of my eighth grade yearbook and newspaper, redesigned my dojo's brochure, was a writing assistant (which almost ended disasterously, but more on that at another time,) won two NanoWrimos, just finished writing my first serious novel, am inundating the writing market with all that I have at the moment, created a comic strip called Dojo Toons, and posted I don't know how many fanfics.

So you can see that I'm rather dedicated to my craft. (Hee hee hee.)

This blogging attempt is a bit of an adventure for me, adding to my already overloaded writing schedule, but I think I can swing this. I'd talk about various little goings-on, but along with the musings and the recounts of often bizarre days, I'd really like to help people with their fiction by posting little mini articles on various writing related topics. So not only do I get to help people with their writing (I really do) and blog about my "amazing"or--more often than not--insane life, but I gain a little notoriety that will draw the interest of potential publishers. ;D

Largely, I'm a fantasy author, but I do write lots of scifi, erotica, horror, and some mainstream and lots of experimental type stuff (Horror clashing with fantasy, for example.)
